Since 1982, Sarofim Realty Advisors (“SRA”) has provided real estate investment management services and invested alongside our clients through managed accounts and, more recently, private real estate funds. After careful consideration, the SRA Board of Directors has decided to focus future efforts on these existing private real estate funds and to wind down its business with managed accounts. It has also decided to relocate SRA’s office and operations from Dallas to Houston where its parent company, Fayez Sarofim & Co., is located.
The current managers and employees of the SRA Dallas office have formed a new independent real estate investment firm, Swift Creek Real Estate Partners LLC (“Swift Creek Partners”). Swift Creek Partners is an independent registered investment adviser that will continue to provide real estate investment advisory services to institutional and high net worth clients through private equity vehicles and separately managed accounts. The senior executives of the SRA Dallas office will have majority ownership and control of this new venture. Swift Creek Partners, though now unaffiliated with SRA or Fayez Sarofim & Co., will become a subadvisor to SRA’s existing real estate funds. In addition, SRA’s current institutional managed accounts will now be sub-advised or assigned to Swift Creek Partners in order to continue to manage existing assets.
The Board of Directors has appointed Douglas K. Alder as President of SRA. Mr. Alder has been a Vice President at Fayez Sarofim & Co. where he has worked since 2001. The Board is confident that under Mr. Alder’s direction and with this dedicated focus to the existing real estate funds, SRA investors will benefit from these changes. The Board would like to thank the managers and employees of the Dallas office for their many years of exemplary service to the SRA organization and wishes them success as they begin their new independent venture.
